Blogging For Success.

Unfortunately, 90% of people who start a

blog stop working after a couple of months, if not weeks! Maybe they feel demotivated, or they stop because they don't have the patience to wait and see how much power a blog is in building a business online or generating a good amount of money every month.

When I started my blog, I didn't struggle

with deciding what I should

blog about, because at that moment, I knew the niche and I loved what am doing, and more importantly, I wasn't waiting for a

rapid income or direct success, I knew that

it will take me some time to build a

successful blog!

What exactly is a niche?

A niche is not only the topic that you are

going to write about, but It’s also the

the approach you’re going to take, the audience you want to target, and the way you’re going to talk to them and position yourself as someone who is an expert in the field or simply someone who is willing to share his/her experience in the topic.

What you have to know, is that when you

pick a niche for your blog, it doesn't mean that you need to stick with it for your entire life! Your blog topics and niche can evolve with your blog and you expand your reach later on by adding some more topics that are somehow related to your main niche.

If you want to make money on blogging, you will also want to do a bit of research to see if the market is in demand for your niche

TIPS TO LIVE OFF BLOGGING.

Becoming a professional blogger doesn’t happen overnight. But following these strategies will enable you to start building a passionate reader base and bringing in real revenue sooner than you thought possible.

  • GET CLEAR ON YOUR NICHE. In any field, whether it’s travel or business, or tech, there are a lot of competitors. you have to ask yourself what you can offer that’s truly unique.  If you’re a travel blogger, “Maybe you just want to talk about things to do in Istanbul. The narrower you can be, the easier it is to be an expert.” And once you’ve established your credibility, you can make connections with other bloggers in related fields by offering to do guest blogs about your specialty.

  • TAKE THE LONG VIEW. If you’re expecting an immediate windfall from blogging, you’re going to be disappointed. “You should assume that you’re not going to make money in the beginning.” Don’t give up if you don’t gain traction immediately, but re-evaluate periodically. “In a year, if…you’re just getting nowhere, then you need to reconsider what you’re doing. Even after six months, if you’re not growing or making connections, maybe it’s an issue that you’re spending your time poorly.

  • CREATE MULTIPLE REVENUES STREAMS. If you’re not making money after you’ve been blogging a while and have built up a readership, there may be another problem. It could be, that “You’re not allowing your readers to buy a product to support you in some meaningful way. You’ve got to allow your audience to buy. ”  That could come in the form of creating e-books, offering products via affiliate links, creating online courses or mastermind groups, and more.

IS BLOGGING DEAD?

Many businesses might say that blogging is dead simply because: Their niche isn't going to benefit from blogging at the end of the day. They aren't putting in a proper method to distribute and market their content.

I don’t think blogging is dead, but it’s harder and more competitive than ever. There are so many posts published every day that you truly need to create posts that are exceptional if you want to stand out, rank posts in Google, and earn social shares.

To do that, we’re seeing companies do many of the following things:

1. Competitive research – benchmarking against similar existing posts to see what’s ranking in Google, what they cover,  and how you can outdo them

2. Comprehensive content – a good way to outdo your competition is by comprehensively covering your topic. There are great tools out there like MarketMuse, SEMrush’s content template, and Answer the Public that helps you discover related subtopics you should cover to ensure your post is comprehensive.

3. Including experts – whether you have an expert write the content for you or include multiple expert opinions, both add an element of authority to your posts that is increasingly important for both Google and readers. Google’s push to rewarding sites that score well with E-A-T last year is a testament to this

4. Focus on design – the days of publishing walls of text and seeing success are long gone. Focus on adding compelling visuals like photos, charts, tables, social embeds, videos, etc throughout your post. Add a table of content for longer posts too.

If you’re doing these things, you can still succeed with blogging. If you’re not, you’re likely to not see great results.
